Passholder Cruise #2 is sailing your way!

January 25, 2004

We had so much fun with our Passholder families on our inaugural Passholder Cruise -- we're doing it again! So if you missed out the first time, here's your chance to set sail on the magical Disney Cruise Line® voyage of your dreams. And if you were on board last January, we'd love to have you back!

We've reserved plenty of space on our enchanting 4-night escape to the Bahamas, including a stop at Disney's own private island paradise, Castaway Cay. Join a "boatload" of your fellow Passholders and enjoy the cruise that has something for everyone of every age, starting at just $459* per adult and $249* per child (valid on 4-night cruise commencing 1/25/04 in stateroom categories 10-12 aboard ship).

While on this special cruise, you'll be able to attend a special presentation by one of the Dream Makes of Walt Disney Imagineering and take part in an exciting onboard treasure hunt, complete with special prizes. Of course you'll be able to enjoy many pin-trading opportunities as well. Just think of it as an unforgettable 4-night Passholder party (or reunion, perhaps) that floats!

We wouldn't want to pull up anchor without you, so book online today at

disneycruise.com or call 1-800-370-3086 or your Travel Agent by October 30, 2003. Don't forget to mention booking code APC.

*Adult rates are based on adult double occupancy; children's rates valid for children ages 3-12 traveling with 2 adults in the same stateroom. Government Taxes and Fees and excursions not included. See Disney Cruise Line brochure for details and applicable Terms and Conditions. Other discounts do not apply. Rates in U.S. dollars. Must show proof of active Walt Disney World® Passholder status at time of sailing.

Pardon our Pixie Dust

A sneak peek at the new additions to the magic.

Here's the scoop on all those "works-in-progress" you may have noticed around the World.

We're gonna build a mountain
That little project in Asia at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park won't be little for long. In fact, it will soon be a mountain the size of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™. This pulse-pounding new thrill ride is called Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, and it will scream through twists and turns, forwards, backwards, and into the realm of the "Abominable Snowman." It's slated to open in early 2006.

Who's moving Residential Street?
The transformation taking place at Disney-MGM Studios is set to be finished in 2005. That's when we'll debut an action-packed new stunt spectacular. Please note that in order to bring you this new E-ticket attraction, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights will not take place this year. You'll get all the details in the November Mickey Monitor.

Click here to discuss the Auto Stunt Show at D-MGM Studios and the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights not taking place in 2003.

There's a lakeside retreat in your future
What's going on across the lake from the Downtown Disney® Area? That's the new home of Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Based on the grand lakeside retreats of upstate New York, this new Disney Vacation Club Resort will feature more than 500 villa-style accommodations brimming with rich detail. The first phase of the Resort is scheduled to open late spring 2004.

Passholder Family Gets Park advice from Pal Mickey

Passholder Cindy DeWitt had never seen a Rhinoceros Iguana in her life. In fact, she had never even heard of a Rhinoceros Iguana until she and her family were introduced to one by none other than Mickey Mouse.

It all happened when the DeWitt family had a chance to experience the ultimate tour guide -- Pal Mickey. He's a talking Mickey toy that shares helpful tips and fun facts with Guests in all four Theme Parks -- and plays fun games at home, too. Pal Mickey accompanied the DeWitts on a visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

"He made us notice things that we might have just walked past," Cindy told us. The DeWitts have been to the Park several times, but their trip with Pal Mickey revealed lots of new finds. "While we were walking under the Tree of Life, Mickey told us about the Rhinoceros Iguana. And there he was. We'd never seen him before."

Pal Mickey does even more. Cindy's 11-year old son, Cameron, credited Pal Mickey for prompting the family to take in a fun performance of Tarzan™ Rocks! "We were waling by and he told us the show was about to start, so we went in."

Nine-year-old Andrea was impressed with Pal Mickey, too. "He tells you more about everything!"

If you'd like to know more about Pal Mickey, try him out for yourself. He's available to rent or purchase at select merchandise locations in all four Theme Parks and each Disney Resort.

Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

I'm awaiting my copy of the November Mickey Monitor, the newsletter for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. But I've heard that it includes a discount for AP holders on WDW Resort rooms.

If you are a WDW Annual Passholder, ask for Code AMI and get special discounted rates at select Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins now through 11/24/03 and 11/28/03-12/26/03. Discounts range from approximately 30-45% off regular rack rates. Availability seems to be very limited, so you may need to be flexible about dates and/or resorts to take advantage of these rates.

An example of these rates: You can get a Savannah View at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for $149 through 12/26/03  (excluding 11/25-27). See MouseSavers at http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyresorts.html#ap for more discount examples.

The next Mickey Monitor is scheduled for February 2004.
