Disney Magic Bowling Club

Rolling to a lane near you!

There's a new bowling league for kids called the Disney Magic Bowling Club, designed to give kids the chance to bowl in a league with their friends plus get their own limited-edition Disney Character (or Disney-Pixar Character) bowling ball and bag when they participate in the club. The eight ball choices feature a total of 43 characters

Mickey & Friends

Pooh & Friends

Disney Princesses

Lilo & Stitch

The Lion King

Monsters, Inc.

Toy Story

Kim Possible

And how cool is this? Each ball glows in the dark! Yup, just put it under black light. Each bowling ball was made by Viz-A-Ball® to faithfully reproduce the Disney Characters in incredible color and detail.

Each ball comes with its own exclusive Disney Character bowling ball bag. The balls are exclusive, sanctioned, drillable and come in weights of 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 & 15 lbs.

For two weeks this month, Radio Disney is giving away Disney Magic Bowling Club Viz-A-Balls to 50 listeners who qualify. So listen to Radio Disney for your chance to win! Visit www.RadioDisney.com to find your local station.

At participating bowling centers on designated nights, families can bowl to hot music from Radio Disney because "the station with your music, your way" is providing a lively CD and video of family friendly music and music videos for participating bowling centers to run during club activities. Participating bowling centers can offer the Disney Magic Bowling Club as a parent and child program or a kid’s-only league.

Viz-A-Ball® also makes other Disney Character bowling balls before this new club started which include Eeyore, Pooh, Minnie, Mickey, and Tigger.

According to Disney, "Our first Disney Bowling Club was a runaway favorite among kids of all ages. This new program introduces more characters than ever before and includes Disney classic characters like Mickey and Pooh and also the newest animated stars from Disney•Pixar films like Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story."

These bowling balls are great but expensive (unless you pay over time like these leagues are designed to do.)

I think a Stitch one would be great to have for 10-pin pickups. But, the Monsters Inc. is cool! Maybe I can find an Adult-Child league doing this and find a kid to bowl with me.  My two DDs are too old.

I know some bowling alley owners who use this promo and have been very pleased.  Got to get kids interested in bowling so the adult leagues won't disappear!!  Besides now that you can't smoke in bowling alleys (in New York state), the air is cleaner!!

Hey, Rich, we need a Bowling Ball MickEmoticon!  :eyebrow: Let's see if I can find some other stuff for you to do.  :happydance:

Yes, the Tigger one and the others I showed at the bottom of the message are apparently last year's models. This year Tigger doesn't have a ball of his own, he's part of the "Pooh and Friends" bowling ball.

I'm glad Winnie the Pooh no longer has a ball of his own in this year's version of the club -- I can imagine smart-aleks coming up to you saying "Hey, you know you got Pooh on your ball?"

Oh, you mean like this new one:
:bowling:

Those mouse ears on it are gonna make it kinda hard to bowl a strike, though.

Yea it would, Rich.  But, it would be fun trying!!  :bowling: Not to mention I would have to get a special bowling bag made.

I better get out practising.  Bowling starts in just three weeks and I haven't lifted a bowling ball since May.  :o

I got the flyer this morning from our local bowling alley.  No prices are listed.  Does anyone have any idea about how much this league costs and the age range?  I tried to call the alley but got an answering machine so have to wait.  I am just not a patient person! ;)

For those of you that were wondering about this, I finally got in touch with the woman that runs the league here.  The age range probably depends upon the bowling league as does the price.  For the league we signed up for, both of my DSs (ages 2 and 6) can both play.  The price is based on the number of weeks that you sign up.  For the 16 week league (which is what we signed for), the cost was $9.75 each weekly.  For the 34 week league, the price is $7.00 each weekly.  I am hoping Bitty (the 2 year old) sticks with this but the woman explained to me that often the older child will finish the game for the younger one.  Either way it sounds like fun and who can resist those cute bowling balls anyway!  My older DS is getting the Monsters, Inc. one while Bitty loves the Lilo & Stitch one (she is his girlfriend after all! ).  Just thought maybe some parents out there might be interested in the information. :bowling:
