Wow, it is almost time to fax in my room request and I am now confused.  I thought I wanted Tokelau for 3 rooms ground floor, no smoking, but after hearing about the plywood and construction mess around Hawaii, would I be better off requesting Samoa?  I do have arthritis in one knee and walking alot will be an aggrevation so I would love to get something centrally located.  I want to save all my extra steps for the theme parks.
Thank you for your help.

Unless you want to walk to the volcano pool via the beach near Hawaii, I don't think the construction at Hawaii will give you a problem.

Stay with Tokelau.  We were just at the poly and stayed in
tahiti.  We kept saying how much we loved Tokelau, it's our fav after Hawaii.

I'd vote for Tokelau as first choice too.  It seems to be placed so that it is right between the TTC and the GCH.  If you are conserving steps and want to use the TTC for faster access to the Epcot monorail, Tokelau is the better option.  We stayed at the Polynesian between 8/29 and 9/5.  Even during the slower seasons, the volcano pool was very active.

Ground floor rooms at Samoa did not seem very "private" nor very quiet along the volcano pool side, but these rooms are GREAT if your family intends to frequently swim or spend many hours at the resort using the lagoon services and those at the GCH.  Kids can run between room door and pool as if it were in their own back yard...well I suppose for the duration of their stay, it IS their back yard.

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know we just returned from the Polynesian.  What a fabulous place!!  I ended up requesting Tokelau, but upon check-in was told it was not being used this slow week (Sept. 7-13)  I needed three adjoining, nonsmoking rooms and was assigned to Fiji.  Talk about wonderful......these rooms faced the spirit of aloha beach and the walk was just a couple minutes to the GCH and monorail.  We couldn't have been more pleased.  We had our children and four small grandchildren and everyone agreed it was a great location.  Yes, Tikiman and Rich are correct.......there are no bad rooms at the Poly.
I'll try to post a trip report soon.

 My pleasure to help! I'm glad our advice was correct.

Were you staying on the 3rd floor of Fiji? If so, I stayed right across the hall from where you were, back in April!
:smart:
I love Fiji. :hearts:
