Saturday, September 20, 2003: Festival of the Lion King is scheduled to be reopened in a newly-enclosed theater!

In Disney's Animal Kingdom, Festival of the Lion King will be closed for refurbishment August 25 - September 19.

This is, in my opinion, one of the finest theme park productions, in Walt Disney World, if not one of the finest in the whole resort. I am very glad to see that time and effort is going into making it a more comfortable environment for people to enjoy. If no one here on the Echo has ever seen it, I would put it on the list of just as good for adults as children!

I absolutely love  :hearts:  the fact that they are enclosing the theater.  A couple of times when we were there it had to be closed down because it was raining.  It wasn't very disappointing to us since we knew that we could see it on another day, or the next trip.  But, it made me think about all the people who would be missing out on a great show if they didn't have that option.

Yoo Hoo, Disney EchoEars!

The newly-enclosed and air-conditioned theater for Festival of the Lion King at Disney's Animal Kingdom opened about a week and a half ago.

HI ALL :D

Last weekend I went to the Festival of the LK show at DAK with family!....it still the same ole show as before but the lighting is MUCH better now that the theater is enclosed :) The AC made it a bit cooler but not much :) though I am sure that the performers are more comfortable now  :)

I hear Simba prefers savannah-like temperatures, so they don't make it as cold as they could with the new air-conditioning.
